Pityriasis rosea is a rash thought to be caused by the virus. Although the rash can be very dramatic, the disease is mild. It usually affects young adults but can affect all age groups. It moves by itself without treatment, most people do not feel good. A mild headache or fatigue can be anything that happens.

The rash usually starts with a "herald patch. This is usually an oval-shaped red mark of 2-5 cm in diameter. The most common sites for this are the chest, abdomen, neck, back, thigh or arm. However, it is usual to have (or not aware of a herald patch).

Later, after The Herald patch, usually 5-15 days, a rash appears to be extended for more than 10 days. This outbreak spread of May in most parts of the body. There is usually an oval patches of 1-3 cm in diameter, are pink. Often appear to the elements, the lines that form parallel to the folds of the skin.

Although the rash may seem alarmist, is not well with the breakthrough. In the worst case, the rash may itch a little. The rash will disappear in time, but it's taken in Mayeveral weeks. Do not leave any marks and no damage. Second attacks are rare, but have been reported.

This description is usually the case that most people seem to have. Sometimes the eruption of May is only on the arms and legs. In rare cases, can cause peeling or flaking of the skin can be problematic.
What is the treatment?
There is no treatment to the scales significantly faster than its natural course. Calamine lotion can help with itching. Sometimes, if the itching is annoying, can help a mild steroid creams. (For example, hydrocortisone cream can be bought in pharmacies or on prescription
